UPSC Civil Services Exam Result 2018: List of toppers, Marks Released at upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has recently released the mark sheet of the candidates who have qualified the UPSC civil services exam 2018. All the candidates who have appeared for the examination can check or download their result from the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The final result for UPSC civil services examination 2018 was announced on April 5, 2019.

UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018 Marks Released

The UPSC topper Kanishak Kataria has recorded 1121 marks out of 2025 which is the total of 55.3 per cent out of the total marks. Kanishak is a candidate under SC category and has secured top position by recording 942 marks in main written exam as well as 179 in personality test round.

The IIT Bombay ex-student Kanishak Kataria belongs to SC category and got qualified the examination with mathematics as his elective subject. He is a B.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering).

The second topper of UPSC civil services exam 2018 is Akshat Jain who scored 1080 marks out of 2025 in the UPSC CSE exam 2018. He recorded 882 marks in the main written exam as well as 198 in personality test/ interview.

The third topper of UPSC civil services exam 2018 is Junaid Ahmad who scored 1077 out of 2025 total marks. He scored total number of 893 marks in the UPSC CSE exam 2018. He recorded 882 marks in the main written exam as well as 198 in personality test/ interview.

This year in 2019, a total number of 759 candidates cleared the UPSC examination, the result of which was declared on April 7, 2018.

Rank 1: Kanishka Kataria, he received 1121 marks

Rank 2: Akshat Jain, he got 1080 marks

Rank 3: Junaid Ahmad, he attained 1077 marks

Rank 4: Shreyans Kumat, he got 1071 marks

Rank 5: Srushti Jayant Deshmukh received 1068 marks

Rank 6: Shubham Gupta got 1067 marks

Rank 7: Karnati Varunreddy secured 1067 marks

Rank 8: Vaishali Singh achieved 1066 marks

Rank 9: Gunjan dwivedi secured 1064 marks

Rank 10: Tanmay Vashistha Sharma got 1064 marks

A total of 10, 65,552 candidates applied for the civil services (preliminary) examination which was held on June 3, 2018. Out of the registered candidates a total number of 4, 93,972 candidates appeared in the examination. As many as 10,468 applicants qualified for the written (main) examination, which was conducted in the September-October month, and a total of 1,994 candidates qualified for the personality test in February-March 2019.

How to access UPSC CSE 2018 marks of recommended candidates:

  1. Visit the official UPSC website.
  2. Click on the link to check the marks of the recommended candidates under ‘What’s New’ section.
  3. Click on the link under the document section to access the marks PDF.
  4. Alternatively, click on this direct link to access the PDF.
  5. The PDF will contain marks of all the 759 candidates who were recommended for an appointment.

Selection to the several services is going to be made as per to the number of vacancies offered with due deliberation to the provisions enclosed in the guidelines for the examination, the UPSC said. The number of posts stated by the government to be complete is as under: IAS-180 (including reserved category), IFS-30, IPS-150, Central Services Group ‘A’-384, Group ‘B’ services-68.
