A very strange incident took place on Wednesday in a small village of Uttar Pradesh where a man beheaded her daughter. The most bizarre thing is that he travelled all the way to the police station and reached there with her chopped head.
Uttar Pradesh Man Beheads Daughter Over Her Alleged Affair
This incident is from the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh and the father of the 17-year-old daughter committed this crime on Wednesday. The accused is named Sarvesh, who was a vegetable vendor who lived in Pandetara village of UP’s Hardoi district.
Sarvesh, the accused was against his daughter’s alleged affair with a youth whom he didn’t like, as per to the police report. He found his 17-year-old daughter with her alleged lover two days back after which he was very annoyed and wanted to teach her a lesson.
Two days later on Wednesday, he found his daughter alone in the house and he couldn’t control his anger over his daughter and beheaded her with a sharp-edged weapon, according to the police report.
The locals and neighbours of the area panicked when they saw Sarvesh Kumar moving towards the Majhila police station along with his daughter’s chopped head. After seeing him in this state, the locals called the police and the cops immediately arrived to capture him. He was then brought to the police station that is located 143 km from Lucknow. On asking the current report of this incident, the Superintendent of Police Anurag Vats replied that the accused had been arrested and further actions have been taken against Sarvesh Kumar.
Last year, the crime data showed that the UP state itself recorded the maximum increase in crime against women, at around 66 per cent. As per to the 2019 report of NCRB’s “Crime in India”, Uttar Pradesh has been reported the maximum number of crimes that are held against women (59,853 in numbers), which in other terms consist of 14.7 per cent of such cases of crimes on women all around the country. In addition to that, Uttar Pradesh also had the highest number of crimes that were held against girl children under the POCSO Act. Overall, the crime against women has been increased by 23.3 per cent in UP, according to the data of last year.
