In yesterday’s British Grand Prix of the FIA Formula One World Championship 2021 that took place at the Silverstone Circuit track at 7:30 PM on 18th July 2021, the British racing driver, Sir Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton who is currently competing in the F1 for Mercedes, marked an exciting winning. The record-setter won after a high-speed encounter with the world champion opponent, Belgian-Dutch racing driver, Max Emilian Verstappen. Verstappen is currently competing for Red Bull and held the titles of many firsts in Formula one at the young age of 23. However, yesterday’s racing championship went in the favour of Hamilton and definitely helped him in gaining his fourth victory of this season.

Meanwhile, in the 2021 F1 Standing, M. Verstappen of Red Bull is still positioned at 1st place with 185 points and 5 wins in his records. Whereas, L. Hamilton of Mercedes is ranked at 2nd place with 177 points and 4 victories in their account, which clearly means that even though M. Verstappen lost yesterday’s match, he is still leading in the F1 championship by 8 points.

There is certainly no doubt that the British Grand Prix race started on an extremely bad note. Following the commencement of racing, Hamilton and Verstappen battled desperate combat over numerous corners. The spectators also witnessed their contact at the super-fast Copse corner, followed by a crash, causing Dutchman to fly into the lane at an extreme large pace while his World Cup rival stayed in the racing.

The crash resulted in the interruption of the racing and several questions were raised regarding who should among Red Bull and Mercedes be blamed for this collision. The Dutch racing legend, Verstappen suffered no injuries in the collision, however, he still went to the hospital for a checkup. Whereas in the meantime, the racing restarted soon, and Hamilton started from the second position after the Monegasque racing driver, Charles Leclerc for Scuderia Ferrari.

Later, the racing management of F1 penalised Briton a 10-second penalty at the pit stop for being liable for the accident with Verstappen. When the race started, Leclerc was leading, however soon his car lost control at the first pit stop and thereafter, he encountered a mapping issue, causing the power unit of Ferrari to drop out. However, the engineers were quick enough and solved the problem, before Hamilton could take the lead.

The last 10 laps were a treat to watch, as both Hamilton and Leclerc challenged each other. Hamilton, at last, crossed Leclerc in Copse and then drove securely towards his 8th victory at Silverstone. The results of yesterday racing were that L. Hamilton ranked at 1st place with 27 points, followed by C. Leclerc, V. Bottas, L. Norris, D. Ricciardo, C. Sainz Jr., F. Alonso and others with 18, 16, 12, 10, 8 and 6 points respectively, while M. Verstappen was ranked at 20th place with 3 points. For more such news, stay tuned with us.
