A piece of good news is coming from the biggest manufacturing car, Volkswagen. As per the reports, the company is soon going to launch the 7th generation polo model of the SUV in India. However, no information regarding the same has been made by the company, but it is highly accepted that the company will soon hit the Indian market with a new Matt edition of its previous polo hatchback model. Anyhow, the company has indicated that the development of the Volkswagen Polo Matte Edition hatchback is still under process. The previous edition of the Polo hatchback model in India was in huge demand at the time of its launching and is still in demand right now.
A total of 15,085 units of the previous model was sold out last month in the Indian market which is even higher as compared with the selling units of the second-best model of Volkswagen, Ameo, whose only 4729 units were sold. There is no doubt about it, that the polo hatchback model of Volkswagen is the first choice of the Indian Rider and they are keenly waiting for the next 7th generation model of SUV.
If we talk about the interior of the new model, then, the design and style of the SUV will remain relatively alike just the previous model of polo hatchback with some slightest modifications and up-gradation. The new Polo Matte edition will come with a 1.0 litre BS 6 turbo three-cylindrical TSI engine, that will give a maximum horsepower of 108bhp and a peak torque of 175 and will also come with a 6-speed manual transmission system so that rider can shift the gears and is based on the MQB A0 IN platform. Presently Volkswagen has offered only two engine option in the Indian market.
The roughly estimated ex-showroom price of the new SUV is between the range of INR 6.01 lakhs to INR 9.92 lakhs. The new matte polo hatchback right now is available in four variants, GT, Highline Plus, Trendline and comfortline. The Volkswagen Indian Director, Ashish Gupta has revealed that the company is planning to launch the new 7th generation matte model of the hatchback in India by the end of 2023 and most probably during the festive season. Also, talking about the price, the director hinted that as the new matte model is more than 4m in length, the influence of the taxation will affect the pricing of the brand new SUV in the Indian market.
