Watch England vs Sri Lanka 2nd ODI Prediction Preview Results Highlights

The England and the Sri Lanka team are ready to take the lead in the five match ODI series in their next game. These both team will face each other fro the second ODI game on June 24 at the Birmingham.

The brilliant six by the Liam Plunkett off the last ball in the first ODI had squared that match and now both teams will enter into the second ODI to take a lead in this series.

England really need to strengthen their batting department as we all had seen in the First ODI, only Joss Buttler and Chris Woakes were amongst the runs. Meanwhile, the likes of Joe Root, Alex Hales and Captain himself need to fire if they want to win rest of the matches.

England Captain in the after match presentation of the first ODI mentioned that ” we were really poor both with the ball and the bat and our fielding was very rusty”

But England team have the momentum with them after remaining victorious in the test series by 2-0, once their batting will click, then they could easily start winning the matches.

On the other side, Sri Lanka must be happy with their all round performance in their last game, especially after loosing the test series to the host.

Sri Lanka showed that they have quality of players in their side, as the likes of Kusal Perera , Kusal Emdis and Dinesh Chandimal got the start and the their capatin Angelo Matthews had scored brillinat 73 in that game.

Although, the major concern for the Lankan side for this game, is the fitness issue of their Captain as Angelo Matthews was injured with the hamstring problem in the first ODI.

It is still not confirnmed whether he willl take part in this game or not.

PREDICTION

This game is not easy to predict, as both the teams have performed magnificiantly in their first clash in colored clothing.

The England team is expected to win this match. The three Lions have genuine all rounder in their side and with the individual like Joe Root in their side, they must feel confident enough to win this match.
