Two suspects named, “Oliver Karafa” and “Yun Lu Li aka Lucy” has been arrested by the Hungarian Police on Saturday, 12th June 2021 from the streets of Budapest in a case related to a murder that took place in Arvin Avenue in the Stoney Creek. As per the reports, the murder took place at around 7:15 PM on 28th February 2021 at a residence in Stoney Creek and in which a 39-year old man, named, Tyler Pratt lost his dear life, while a 26-year old lady was badly injured. One of the Sergeants of Hamilton Police Acting Detective, Jim Callender narrated the whole incidence of capturing these two suspects.
On Monday, that is, on 14th June 2021, the detective declared that they have arrested the 28-year-old, Oliver and 25 years old, Yun aka Lucy in Budapest. He narrated the whole case starting from the shooting incident that happened on 28th February in Arvin Avenue to the arrested of the main suspects in the case. He said that the Hamilton police first thought the reason behind the shooting and the possible reason they could find out at the time was the pure intention of murder and shooting.
However, what triggered and led him and his team to the two suspects was the fact that they find it absolutely bizarre that these two people left Canada just after the shooting incident happened and thus, from thereon, they started chasing Lucy and Oliver. Detective Callender said that this team along with the Hamilton Police worked jointly with the international authorities to track the exact location of the two suspects.
However, during the media release, he did not tell any specific detail regarding the two suspects and neither told how they were able to track them and others. Apart from that, the detective reported that the woman that was hurt during the shooting was immediately taken to the hospital and is still in the process of recovery. She is doing pretty well but there is a long way ahead of her, as all, we could see her is physical injuries but we are not aware of how traumatizing the whole incident is for her.
Callender further stated that one of the biggest compassion is telling the families and he thinks there is a hunger and passion for the investigative team, you see the content and relief on the team, but this just magnified once you can witness the faces of the outliving victim and hear the voices of the family. Further, the process to arrest the two defendants in Canada is advancing.
