18-year-old Noa Lazar died on Sunday following a fatal shooting incident in East Jerusalem. The late soldier Noa Lazar was from Bat Hefer, Northern Israel. A civilian guard and Noa Lazar were attacked by a gunman in a shooting attack at the Shaufat checkpoint on Saturday night in East Jerusalem that led her to be induced into a coma. Meanwhile, Noa Lazar also underwent brain surgery but all went in vain when doctors pronounced her dead. According to the reports, Noa Lazar and a civilian guard were rushed to a hospital in Jerusalem.
IDF said that she was pronounced dead at the hospital while the civilian guard was operated on overnight by neurosurgeons but he is still in critical condition and currently on a ventilator. Following the incident, the Prime Minister and President expressed their sorrows for the death of Noa Lazar.
