After the cases of Covid-19 increasing on daily basis, India entered its third phase of the lockdown which started from the onwards. The different zones being orange, green and red zones. These zones are divided according to the level of restrictions that would be imposed on the districts and areas coming under the zones. The highest level of restriction being implied on the Red zone which contains mainly the hotspots and contaminated areas. All the markets and shops in these areas would be closed as they were till now. The delivery of the essentials would be done door to door and shops related to medical needs and the hospitals shall remain open.

In total 733 districts of India have been broadly divided into the Red, Green and Orange zones. The classification of the zones have been vividly done on the basis of the reports provided by the state administration and the zone classification would be revised every week on the basis of the condition of the district and the number of cases that are still being reported of the deadly Covid-19. The first lockdown that was announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 24th March was done with the sole motive of curbing the spread of the Corona virus and to limit the spreading of the virus.

The third part of the lockdown is also implemented with the main agenda of limiting the spread of the virus. The list of the districts coming under various zones have been declared by the government prior to the starting of the third version of lockdown. This list of the districts would be updated to reflect the latest classification of districts according to the central government.

The level of restriction in day to day activities would be most in the Red zone followed by the Orange and then Green zone. the list of Orange, Green and Red zone The central government have given proper guidelines for the works and shops that would be operational during the lockdown. The central government laid the directives way before the lockdown was implemented. The state government is given full rights to extend the restrictions and controlling authorities in the hotspot and contaminated areas if necessary.
