Liam Tarquin Broady was born on 4 January 1994. He is a tennis player. In 2010, he won the Boys’ Doubles at Wimbledon partnered with fellow Briton Tom farquharson. In 2012, he won the Boys’ Doubles at the Australia Open partnered with fellow Briton Joshua Ward-Hibbert. He has a career high world ranking of No. 159. He is currently the British number 7 behind Kyle Edmund, James Ward, Daniel Evans, Brydan Klein, Aljaz Bedene, and Andy Murray.

The 29-year-old two-time Grand Slam winner faces a fellow British player for the first time at a major tournament in Broady, ranked 235 in the world.

Liam Broady, 22, will relish the opportunity of taking on Murray for a place in the second round and a potential meeting against Yen-Hsun Lu from Chinese Taipei or Russian world No 167 Alexander Kudryavtsev.
