The Backlash is a professional wrestling pay-per-view or PPV Event which is organised by the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). This will the 12th event of the Backlash and this time, Backlash will debut under the under SmackDown branded event. Meanwhile, it will be the second WWE brand extension after SummerSlam 2016 in July 2016.
