Xiaomi Launches Mi Box 4K Streaming Device And Also Wireless Earphones 2 Specification Features

Amazon just gained another potential competitor in the market. After boasting about their amazing Mi TV product portfolio, Xiaomi is now planning to launch something in the market which can be a uncalled rival of Amazon FireTV Stick 4K. Xiaomi is all set to bring the Mi Box 4K in the market. The product has already been launched in India and is priced at Rs 3,499. It will available from !ay 11. The main motto behind bringing this product into the market is to make the dumb TV sets smart. This box will let you stream Amazon Prime, Netflix and many other OTT Platforms. Along with this, Xiaomi has also launched its Mi True Wireless Earphones 2. These earbuds will be available at Rs 4,499 in India. You can buy it between 12th May to 17th May for Rs 3,999.

The new streaming box, as the name says it, the box supports 4K streaming video content along with HDR 10, Dolby Audio with DTS 2.0 digital out. It runs on the Android TV interface, the device has built-in chromecast and Google Assistant so you can easily search for your favourite shows and can also control all your Mi devices which are connected to it. You only need to press the dedicated button on the remote and give voice instructions like Turn the Mi Air Purifier. And Voila, it will be on.

The box also comes with a ‘Data Saver’ function that while control your usage of internet and will let you enjoy your favourite show without consuming much data. Well, you can also set an alarm when the streaming crosses your given data limit. Also, it lets you connect your smartphone to your TV using Mi Box 4K without any internet and just by using the cast to TV feature. All these features will be available as OTA update.

Talking about the specifications, the box is powered by a 64-bit 2GHz processor, Mail 450 GPU, 3GB DDR3 RAM and 8GB eMMC storage. On the connectivity front you get HDMI 2.0b, USB 2.0, Bluetooth v4.2 and digital out to connect your external speakers.

The design of the remote is similar to that of the remote of the Mi TVs. Beside, like we have a separate button for Google Assistant, the remote will have dedicated buttons for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video as well.

The main feature or can say speciality of these earbuds by Xiaomi are that they support 14.2mm dynamic driver, which is more than the a Google Pixel Buds 2’sb which are 12mm, Sennheiser Momentum TWS’s which have 7mm drivers and Jabra Elite 65t wireless earbuds which have 6mm drivers.

The wireless earbuds also support LHDC audio codec which basically works to provide better audio quality without any loss. This means that it comes with 90% environment noise reduction ability and dual microphones on each of the earbuds for better call quality.

Talking about the battery, the earphones are promised to deliver up to 14 hours of battery life with many other additional charges from the case. A single earbud or earpiece will be able to  work for 4 hours.

The earbuds will not only be compatible with Android smartphones but will also with Windows OS and Apple’s iOS as well. So when you open the case, it will show up an animated notification on the Android phone, iPhone or Windows laptop which are connected to it.

Double click on right earbud – To Play or pause the music.
Double click on any earbud – To answer an incoming call.
Double click on the left ear – Activate voice assistant (supports Google Assistant, Siri and Alexa)

So both of these devices launched by Xiaomi looks immensely powerful and is very pocket friendly. Now, we can only wait and see that whether this pandemic is going to effect the sales of these devices or will it do a good business as the company is hoping. We can just wait to check that out.
