Yesterday only we informed our readers that Xiaomi is also working on a laptop and there are chances that it will launch it on 27th July.
Going by the reports xiaomi, Chinese giant has finally rolled out their first laptop which can also be named as “china’s apple” in reference to the stark similarity of this laptop with that of apple’s Macbook air. After having a successful story in smart phone segment, Xiaomi has stepped into an entirely new territory with its Xiaomi Mi Notebook air.
USP of this laptop is its discrete graphic card which we don’t find in many of the ultra- portable laptops which are currently available in the market. One thing which may disappoint is that this laptop will be exclusively available in china for now and company has not yet divulged any details regarding it global roll out but we can expect this laptop to be available in internal shores by next year. Since Xiaomi has witnessed the tremendous growth in India chances are high that they might launch Xiaommi Mi air in India by either end of this year or may be in September itself.
Xiaomi Mi air specs:
It will be available in two variants: one having 12.5” Display with 4GB RAM while the other one with 13.3” Display with 8GB RAM.
As we have already said it has stark similarity with Apple’s Macbook air. It doesn’t have any logo or branding neither at front nor at back. Even though company has incorporated Aluminum chassis still they managed to cut down the weight of the smaller variant to just 1.07Kg. Xiaomi’s partner Tian Mi is behind the development and manufacturing of this laptop but it will be sold under the name of Xiaomi.
Coming to the display of the bigger variant then it sports 13.3” Full HD Display to please the users and the question of it having 2k touch panel but is still unanswered. It is powered by Intel Core i5 processor which is being coupled along with 8GB of RAM. It is operating on latest Window’s 10 OS. It offers memory up to 256GB PCLe SSD.
It also claims to have the battery life up to 9.5 hours and includes AKG and dolby Speakers so that to let users have augmented audio experience.
Talking about the smaller variant then it brags 12.5” Full HD Display and runs on Intel’s Core M3 processor. Here processor is combined along with 4GB of RAM with memory up to 128GB SATA SSD. Rest of the features of this variant remains same as to that of its bigger kin.
These laptops will be available for sale from 2nd August 2016. Bigger variant is tagged at the price of 4,999 Yuan or INR 50,301 while the smaller variant is priced at 3,499 Yuan or INR 35,200 respectively.
