On Friday, the Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi, has announced that the company is not going to launch any of its new tablets this month in May. However, the company’s official also revealed that new models are most probably going to arrive in the second half of 2021. Recently, it was revealed that this Chinese tech company is finally aiming to launch its tablet in the tech market. Soon after that few reported that Xiaomi may lunch their tablet probably in May, however, all those reports have been denied by the product director of this tech giant, Wang Teng Thomas.
While replying to a Weibo user, Wang Teng Thomas has revealed that the company is not going to launch any of their tablets this month that are currently under production. However, he also clarified that the company’s most anticipated Mi Pad 5 is also not going to arrive this month but the buyers can anticipate its launch in the second half of 2021.
So far in the tech market, there is very less number of Android tablets available in the market and now this Chinese tech giant is setting its foot in the tablet arena, promising to provide high-end tablets in a reasonable price segment. As of now, the company is expected to launch at least three new tablets in the market, probably this year. Meanwhile, Wang Teng also stated that the company is going to launch a new notebook around the end of May 2021.
This upcoming laptop is going to be the RedmiBook Proand and it will be featuring the Ryzen processor from AMD. On the other hand, the senior official from Xiaomi has not revealed anything more about its launch date or any further specifications about the same. But, if it is getting a launch this month then the company will most probably reveal its specifications along with its official launch date and pricing in the upcoming few days or weeks.
Now moving forward to Mi Pad 5, the series is going to be launched in a base as well as in a Pro variant. The Pro variant is likely to be featuring an LCD panel, supporting 2K resolution and capable of 120Hz refresh rate along with 240Hz touch sampling rate as well.
The tablet will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor and is going to support 4096 level touch control. The base model of the upcoming tablet by Xiaomi will also be equipped with the Snapdragon 870 chip. Meanwhile, the first tablet of Xiaomi is highly anticipated to blows away its competitors in terms of high performance and great screen quality in reasonable price range. The upcoming tablets from Xiaomi are going to give huge competition to iPad mini 2 and 3.
