According to reports, a Spicejet flight was going from Patna to Delhi when it was hit by a bird and one of the engines caught fire. Locals informed the airport officials after noticing the fire on the engine. The pilot made an emergency landing after shut downing the affected engine. Fortunately, all the 180 passengers were safe and no one was injured. The flight was struck by a bird and one of its engines got shut down, said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
